We want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible participation in our recent STEM Day for 3rd and 5th graders on March 14th, and your support for our Scholastic Book Fair! Your presence and kokua truly made these events a shining success, filled with aloha.
It was such a great oy to see the bright smiles and curious minds engaged during STEM Day. The students were engaged in hands-on activities, showing their problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Thank you for partnering with us to nurture a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in our keiki!
A big mahalo to Mrs. Annie Yokoyama for her exceptional coordination of our STEM Day Event! Her meticulous planning and dedication to creating an engaging and educational experience were truly felt by all. We deeply appreciate her commitment to our students and their learning.
We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to Ms. Michelle Nakamura for organizing our annual Book Fair! The excitement in the library was like a ray of sunshine, as students discovered new books and authors. Thank you for fostering a love of reading and expanding our students' horizons.
Lastly, the third quarter has been a time of hard work and dedication, and we've seen our students and staff shine! Ali‘iolani After-School Pick-Up: Let's Work Together!
We're so happy your child participates in our after-school activities! To make sure everyone has a safe and smooth end to their day, we've put together a few friendly reminders about pick-up.
-
Pick-Up Time Matters: We know life gets busy, but please try your best to pick up your child right when their activity ends. Late pick-ups disrupt school operations and cause concern for students and staff. This helps us keep everyone safe and lets our staff get home too!
-
Keeping in Touch: If your child isn't picked up on time, we'll give you a call or send a text to check in. If we can't reach you, we'll call your emergency contacts. Don't worry, we'll keep your child safe and sound until you arrive. If we can't reach anyone for a longer period of time, we may need to contact the authorities, just to be extra careful.
-
A Little Reminder System: We understand that things happen. If you're late, we'll have a friendly chat to remind you about our pick-up times. If it happens again, we'll schedule a quick meeting to talk about how we can help. And if it happens a third time, we might need to take a little break from the activity for a while.
-
First Incident: Verbal warning and policy reminder.
-
Second Incident: Written warning and parent/guardian meeting.
-
Third Incident: Suspension from the activity.
-
-
Please make sure we have your most up-to-date contact information, and if you know you'll be late, just give us a call! We're all in this together to make sure your child has a wonderful and safe time at school. Mahalo for your cooperation.

Aloha Ali'iolani Parents and Families!
We are very excited for our upcoming Career Day. This year, Career Day will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. As we begin planning for this school-wide event, we need help gathering information on possible speakers. This year, our students are interested to hear from adults who have careers in the military, sports, law, music, art, construction and even the culinary field (But, not limited to these fields). If you are interested in presenting during our Career Day, please complete the parent interest form. If you have any connections and/or contacts that might be of value, please feel free to include it on this form too. Our goal is to provide our students a full day of learning about as many careers as they can. With that being said, please wait for a confirmation from us as we may get duplicate careers submitted. As always, we thank you for your continuous support of our Ali'iolani students.
